There’s so many more wonderful sterek fics out there, probably a handful for any AU or trope you can think of. This is just a little taste of the 30,000+ fics just on Ao3 alone.

I’m so proud of this fandom, lets keep doing us♥

Burg Eltz  by  Hannes Becker

(Eltz Castle is a medieval castle nestled in the hills above the Moselle River between Koblenz and Trier,Germany. It is still owned by a branch of the same family (the Eltz family) that lived there in the 12th century, 33 generations ago.)

Fan talking about Jensen as “Oscar material“

theopengrave:

trenchcoatedangel67:

When we first saw you in Supernatural we thought “Oh well, he’s really handsome.”

image

But then we found out that there was more than that, that you have so much more to offer. We think that a good actor can take you to a different place and is able not to only make you forget that you are watching an actor but who also makes you care about the journey of a character. And that you really make people who watch you care about you and your characters and not just because you have a pretty face.

image

You handle both, tragedy and comedy, with equal ability and your face and eyes speak a thousand words, even when you are saying nothing at all. So, when Supernatural will end, don’t think about it as a conclusion but as a stepping stone which will lead you towards a bright future, because you are Oscar material.

Notice how he accepts it simply and almost jokingly at first, because he doesn’t know how else to react. And then he lets the reality and sincerity of her words get to him and he breaks.

Jensen is beautiful and he needs to be loved like this more often.

OH MY GOD IM CRY

I honestly love him! That last gif is killing me!!

Gay Without the Gay Angst: 12 Books About Gay/Bi/Queer Boys

diversityinya:

By Malinda Lo

Last week when I visited a high school in Seattle, a student asked me for recommendations of YA books about gay boys who didn’t have to struggle with a lot of coming-out angst. While coming out can certainly be a struggle (mine was!), I completely understand and sympathize with those who want to read books about gay main characters where they can simply be the main characters without facing a ton of homophobia. For a gay reader especially, encountering a large amount of homophobia in a novel might feel realistic and it might make them feel less alone in the world, but it can also feel like an assault on your own identity.

That’s why I’ve put together this list of a dozen YA books in which the main character is a gay, bisexual, or queer boy, but the story is not necessarily about their sexual orientation. Six are fantasy/science fiction, and six are contemporary realistic fiction. If you’re looking for a complete lack of coming-out angst, it’s better to stick to the fantasy and science fiction; the realistic titles listed below do address coming out, though with much less angst than in some older titles.

Fantasy & Science Fiction

image

image

  • The Bane Chronicles by Cassandra Clare, Maureen Johnson, and Sarah Rees Brennan — Coming Nov. 11, 2014 in hardcover; features Magnus Bane from Cassandra Clare’s Shadowhunters series
  • Proxy and Guardian by Alex London — a science fiction/dystopian duology available now
  • Masks: Rise of Heroes by Hayden Thorne — a superhero trilogy available now
  • The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater — the second book in the Raven Cycle, available now
  • Witch Eyes by Scott Tracey — an urban fantasy trilogy available now
  • Coda by Emma Trevayne — available now; has a companion novel, Chorus

Realistic Fiction

image

image

  • One Man Guy by Michael Barakiva — now available
  • Openly Straight by Bill Konigsberg — now available
  • Two Boys Kissing by David Levithan — now available; Levithan’s Boy Meets Boy is also a classic of the no-gay-angst type
  • M or F? by Lisa Papademetriou and Chris Tebbetts — now available
  • Boyfriends With Girlfriends by Alex Sanchez — now available; Sanchez’s Rainbow Boys trilogy begins with some coming-out issues, but subsequent books move past that aspect of being gay
  • Fan Art by Sarah Tregay — now available

Thanks to everyone on Twitter who helped me out with recommendations! I’ll post a similar list about lesbian, bisexual, and queer teen girls in the near future.

“Maybe Tomorrow” (you are in control of your own happiness)

reconstructingchloe:

I used to live incomplete.

I was an unfinished painting collecting dust in the corner that the artist swears to pick up once again someday, but let’s it sit for hours, staring, until they finally mutter out, “Maybe tomorrow.”

Maybe tomorrow.

That was my tagline for years, as if my happiness was a demanding task that was not worth my immediate attention; push it back on the To-Do list, other things are far more important, like math equations and strategizing the lies to your parents; as if giving up joy was the price to pay for average grades and an hour or so of sleep, as if crying every day was fine if nobody saw it.

But tomorrow would be the same.

It would be the same if I didn’t try to change the outcome. I was flying the plane, and I could have prevented the crashes, and I could have also made it soar, if only I knew I been in control all this time.

The truth is: we all want happiness. This goal can seem impossible or unattainable at times, as glossy faced smiles on magazine covers and on TV screens create the ideal display of this faraway feeling, a photoshopped reality of an absence we so often feel. Being happy is not a means of having a ton of money and a pretty face, this undefined contentment is what you create.

I hate to say it, but you are in charge of your own happiness, nobody can give it to you. You have to want it, you have to want it more than anything in the world. You have to make it a priority. You have to be your own best friend. You have to think positively, laugh at mistakes, do things that make you feel lucky to be alive. You have to choose to save yourself, and then choose it again and again. Happiness is so rarely one single place, but a roadtrip to get there.

Maybe tomorrow?

Maybe today I will compliment myself, I will call myself pretty and smart and put aside an hour to do what I like. Maybe today I will talk with my friends, and take photographs of my favorite garden, and go on a run. Maybe today I will be half full, and finally take the wheel to steer towards positivity, to finally feel the ignition hum under my fingertips; these vibrations that I thought were earthquakes before were just an imitation of my own power.

Maybe today I will choose the road to happiness.

And maybe tomorrow, I will again.
